Use ZCatalogs as export sources

The data contained in tabular form in ZCatalogs is often exactly the data site admins frequently want to export into some other format, such as CSV. This package provides views for exporting the catalog data into various formats.

Currently, only exporting the whole catalog with all metadata/brains/columns as CSV is supported. I plan to add support for submiting arbitrary index queries and for controlling the metadata/brains/columns exported.

Document Actions

Collections as the UI

If you made this a view on a collection, you could reuse the existing collection UI. Just register collection.csv or whatever as the view name and add a document action linking to it.

I'd support this going into stock Plone.

Collections as the UI

Ooh! Then I could tie into the collection tabular layout support as a
way to let users specify which brain metadata/columns to render in the
CSV. That's excellent and I'll try to do it after the non-profit dev
summit I'm at now.

As for Inclusion into Plone core, what do I need to do to start that
process once I have the code working?
