2005: A pre-buildout, makefile based, ZEO deployment and hosting infrastructure
In 2005, long before zc.buildout salvation, Gadoz, Inc. was suffering for lack of a good deployment and hosting story. I built a ZEO clustered, multiple instance, hosting infrastructure providing incremental backup, replication, rapid restoration, rapid node deployment, and product management. This solution used makefiles, an approach Jim tells me was one of the predecessors to zc.buildout at Zope, Inc..
